RGBB

The Royal Government of Bhutan (RGOB) firmly adheres to a ‘High Value, Low Impact’ tourism policy, thereby creating the country as a unique tourist destination in the world. The government recognizes tourism as an important means of achieving socio-economic development, but has taken a very cautious approach to its growth and development. Its policies and practices ensure that tourism is carried out in a socially and culturally acceptable manner and in accordance with the principles of Gross National Happiness.

TCB

The Tourism Board of Bhutan (TCB) is a very high level commissioning body administered by the council of ministers of various government agencies. In addition to helping the government promote Bhutan as a unique travel destination based on Gross National Happiness (GNH) values, TCB is responsible for developing and promoting the tourism industry. Formulates tourism policies, plans and programs, implements relevant policies, laws and regulations.

ATM

Guide Association of Bhutan (GAB) is a non-profit mutual benefit organization established to empower and professionalize tour guides and the guiding profession in the country. The Association works with the objective of bringing together all the guides under one roof to develop a sense of friendship, camaraderie and professionalism. It offers a common platform for guides to voice their complaints and setbacks that undermine shared image and interests.

ABTO

The Association of Bhutan Tour Operators (ABTO) is the recognized representative of tour operators in Bhutan. It is the mutual and official voice of all Bhutanese tour operators constituting its core membership. It is also an institution that represents and protects the collective interests of the country’s tourism industry. ABTO has been responsive and effective in representing shared concerns, as well as promoting the interests of all tour operators.

ROOMS

The Bhutan Hotel and Restaurant Association (HRAB) is a federation of HOTELS and Restaurants from across the country. Members range from restaurants to small family owned properties to large convention hotels. It is a non-profit, apolitical and mutually beneficial organization formed in September 2007 by a group of hotel enthusiasts. The way forward… Bring together all the country’s hotels, restaurants and tourist accommodation in a common body, and strive to promote tourism from a long-term and sustainable perspective.
