I love Christmas. I overcome the relentless doom and gloom of the scrooges each year with my cheery, festive disposition, and I’m not at all shy about enjoying the early rush of holiday goods in stores. October is too early, you say? Well, I say it’s about time!

My favorite part of Christmas, aside from the abundance of gut-busting food and quality family time, is surprising people with thoughtful gifts. Most of all, I love giving gifts to my husband; he’s always been a great gift giver, somehow he knows exactly what I’d like, and he’s been upping the stakes every year. Well, I like to receive gifts too! But nonetheless, I have been thinking about what I can get for my husband, which will adequately show how much I appreciate him.

For anyone else who finds themselves in a similar situation for their husband, boyfriend, or significant other, join me in looking at some amazing gift ideas for Christmas.

Alcoholic beverage

This is one of my favorite gifts every year. In my circles, everyone has their drink, whether it’s a fancy red wine or something downright raunchy like Jägermeister. Either way, receiving alcoholic beverages as a gift reminds us that Christmas is a joyous time of year and, in my opinion, encourages jovial behavior that is well suited to this time of year. Before giving an alcoholic beverage gift, remember that you want to encourage responsible drinking behavior from your husband rather than just plain drunken folly; think carefully which way the scales will tip before deciding on alcohol.

Very suitable for the season are warm liqueurs such as port. Last Christmas I discovered white port at a tasting session and knew instantly that my husband would love it. I ended up buying a couple of bottles from him, which I had the pleasure of helping him finish. It’s likely to be shared, so he picks something you like too!

Clock

As a style statement for men, the watch has been slowly making up ground as a popular accessory. For a while, people made a conscious decision to ditch the watch in favor of their smartphones, but now our obsession with the iPhone has faded slightly, with men especially starting to revisit the watch for both practical and fashion reasons. Aimed to be big this year is Audemars Piguet with its GMT Tourbillion model; This handsome timepiece comes with distinctive white ceramic places and is powered by a single internal battery.

The great thing about watches is that they come with a plethora of accessories available to purchase, so you can enhance your gift with a few extra details. My favorite of these, and an essential item for anyone buying a kinetic energy watch, are watch winders. These increasingly sophisticated storage units maintain your watch’s battery when you’re not using them; perfect for anyone with a growing collection.

Video game

In terms of children’s toys, nothing comes close to the virtual thrill of running over pedestrians in GTA or silently assassinating cardinals in Assassin’s Creed. The big consoles are going to be super popular this Christmas, and now might be the perfect time to upgrade your significant other to an Xbox One or PlayStation 4. Like every year, there’s always an impressive lineup of games before Christmas. to make players salivate, so don’t expect to be bored with this year’s selection.

When it comes to heavy hitters; Fallout 4 follows your journey through a post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland, Metal Gear Solid V puts you in the role of an elite super-soldier behind enemy lines, and Batman: Arkham Knights lets you play as the caped crusader as you clean up the cretin streets. and hooligans. It all sounds very appropriate for ‘the most wonderful time of the year’, doesn’t it?

days of experience

Experience days offer a wide variety of activities that you and your partner can enjoy. There’s something for everyone in these packages, ranging from London Underground tours for those obsessed with history (or the Tube for some odd reason) to racing selected supercars on a race track for adrenaline junkies.

They also have experience days created for couples, like a night in a luxury hotel to be pampered, high-class three-course meals available at bargain prices, and theatrical experiences followed by backstage drinks. All of these are perfect if you’re looking for something you can both enjoy; that’s what i would do anyway!
