Desensitizing condoms have hit the market in the last 5 years and offer the possibility of relief for many men who suffer from the condition of premature ejaculation. This includes 30% of all men at some point in their lives. In this article, I’ll take a critical look at this invention and determine if it lives up to its claims.

What is?

This is a standard latex condom with a difference. You can make it last longer thanks to a special lubricating gel inside.

How does it work?

These condoms contain what is called a lubricating gel at the tip. Actually, it’s not really a “lubricant”, otherwise the condom might fall off! It is simply a low grade numbing gel.

When you roll up the condom, it melts with your body heat and is absorbed into the head of your penis, the area that gets the most stimulation from penetrative sex.

In 5 minutes you will have a feeling of dullness and therefore you will be able to last longer.

How much longer?

Usually about 5 minutes more is quite common. Because it slightly reduces your sensations, sex can be a little less pleasurable even if it’s longer. The total pleasure is the same.

If you can imagine sharing some food with someone. You will both get the food, but the pleasure is not doubled and each of you has reduced pleasure. This is the same principle with thickening condoms.

Alternatives?

This is an example of a short-term method that does not cure PD but will give you instant relief. There are many other ways to deal with PD and some are short-term and some are long-term. Some are natural and some are drugs. Some are better and some are worse.
