Determine the goal

Web designers need to prioritize business goals before working on layouts and pixels. Determining clear strategic business goals makes it easy to create a UI and UX design that will drive conversions. However, when designers analyze their client’s requirements, they must clarify every minute detail that is misleading to ensure that the project is headed in the right direction.

Create a Responsive Web Design

Businesses would like to capture every potential customer that comes to their website. For this reason, designers must ensure that the website registers well on different screen sizes of various devices. Also, Google supports responsive design. That said, responsive web design can be used for search engine optimization as well as conversion rate.

Know the expectations of users

Designers should not make drastic changes, but rather stick to the common navigation elements when it comes to UI and UX design as visitors are used to them, such as the location of the navigation toolbar and the cart icon. A landing page design should be simple and easy to navigate so visitors can convert into potential customers.

Balancing business and user goals

When it’s the first time visitors come to a website, they will immediately want to know about the business and therefore go to the blog and About Us section. Sometimes a big pop-out with offers suddenly appears before them and when they try to close it, other pop-ups appear asking them to subscribe to the site’s newsletter for free. Such an approach will lead to a bad user experience. If that’s the case, the company’s goal is to gain an advantage, while the user’s goal is to learn about the company faster. Therefore, designers must consider both the business and user goals when balancing positive CRO and UX techniques.

Drive relevant traffic

Some people aim to drive more traffic to get more leads, while others want to increase conversion rate with current traffic. The best choice between the two depends on where they can make the best use of their investment.

To begin with, they should check the quality of the traffic their website receives. If you have targeted traffic but an unwanted conversion rate, they need to optimize for conversion. On the other hand, if they have a high conversion rate and no changes can be made to improve it, they can analyze their pay per click campaigns to generate additional traffic.

There is a higher chance of converting visitors into customers when visitors are interested in the products/services a business offers. It would not be wise to spend more on irrelevant traffic as this could only increase your bounce rate. For this reason, it is crucial to check the relevance and quality of the traffic from time to time.

A web design can certainly determine whether or not a landing page will convert. When web designers work on UI and UX, they should always consider user engagement, usability, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Web designers develop a UI/UX design based on information such as buyer personality profiles, input data, strategic marketing goals, and value proposition.

Proof

No particular approach to UI and UX design will guarantee conversion. Marketers and designers, even with their extensive experience, still need to test the changes they make when it comes to front-end design and track UX KPI metrics.
