TASER Substitute: A Powerful Stun Gun and Pepper Spray Strategy

Don’t have enough money to buy a TASER? Don’t worry! Here’s an original strategy that will allow you to defend yourself just as effectively… using a stun gun and pepper spray.

Here’s what you’ll need: First, you need to get a really powerful stun gun. The higher the voltage, the better. As a protective measure, we recommend any stun gun with a deactivation pin attached to the end of the wrist strap. That way, if your stun gun is ever taken from you, the disable pin will be disconnected from the device, preventing the unit from working and being used against you.

Examples of these are:

(1) The Stun Master Multi-Function Stun Gun with 2.7 million volts;
(2) The 800,000-volt cell phone stun gun;
(3) The 775,000-volt Stun Master stun gun.

Don’t worry about such high voltages – these non-lethal weapons have a low amperage which prevents them from doing any lasting damage. To give you an idea, it would take an amplifier to kill a person. But stun guns only have 3-4 milliamps, which is well under an amp. So despite their high voltage, any of the aforementioned stun guns would still keep their self-defense strategy within non-lethal limits.

Next, you’ll need a powerful pepper spray. But not just any model. Specifically, we recommend the 10% MACE Pepper Gel with UV Tint Model Grande. Why? Unlike others, the pepper components of this powerful spray are suspended in gel…rather than a liquid stream. This really helps a lot, especially since the gel can propel the pepper formula up to 18 feet (that’s more than any other pepper spray and three feet more than the TASER!). Also, a pepper gel provides the most protection against recoil in windy conditions, which is ideal for outdoor use (you should always be careful in cases like this anyway, especially if the wind force is too strong) .

Since you will also be using a stun gun, we cannot stress enough the importance of using a pepper gel as a very important component of our strategy. The problem with other pepper sprays (in this specific case) is that they maximize the chances of leaving residue hanging in the air. Since sparks from your stun gun can ignite flammable liquids like alcohol (found as a carrier in some pepper sprays), you should definitely get a pepper gel to avoid the chances of that happening (according to MACE, the formula pepper gel is non-flammable, the safer you will be as long as you follow our instructions).

Now that you know exactly which self-defense products to buy, here’s the strategy: Always have your stun gun and pepper gel handy. Although this may sound quite obvious, you should remember that neither weapon will be of any use to you if you keep them in the bottom of your bag, pocket, or small suitcase. A holster strapped to your belt is a highly desirable option for carrying both weapons.

Any time you find yourself in a situation that could be dangerous (for example, when walking to your car in a lonely parking lot), carry your stun gun in your non-dominant hand. Be careful of your surroundings. If by any chance someone expresses any kind of hostile intent towards you, try to keep a safe distance between yourself and the would-be attacker by pressing the fire button on your stun gun. The resulting bright blue sparks and very loud crackling noise can be enough to intimidate you and can even attract the attention of anyone within earshot, maximizing your chances of getting help.

However, if the assailant ignores your dire warning and decides to continue with their attack, take your pepper gel in your dominant hand (which will help you aim better) and spray your attacker’s face for a second. If you successfully hit your target, they will instantly suffer from temporary blindness, a burning sensation on their skin, upper body spasms (forcing them to lean forward), uncontrollable coughing, and breathing/speech difficulties (no permanent damage). ).

That should be more than enough to stop most attackers. However, if for some reason it doesn’t hit its target (which would be a rare occurrence since its pepper gel allows for 7 one-second bursts), or if the sprayed attacker was still able to grab it (resulting in an awkward position or unsure from which to spray him again), push your stun gun into his body while activating the fire button. Because the shock from the stun gun will flow directly into the attacker’s body (without interacting with the surrounding air), there will be no contact between the sparks from the stun gun and any floating pepper gel residue (remember that the non-flammable gel formula greatly minimizes the chances of leaving airborne residue).

Keep in mind that the electrical shock from your stun gun will be most effective when applied to specific areas of the body, such as the upper shoulders, upper hips, and below the rib cage. Because some criminals will instinctively struggle to disengage from the stun device during the first 1-2 seconds of the electric shock, it may be necessary to aggressively drive the front of the stun gun into the subject for 3 or more seconds to achieve maximum effects. But don’t hesitate to do this, because soon the attacker will be lying on the ground, temporarily incapacitated (no permanent damage).

And that is! After a successful self-defense action on his part, his next step would be to leave the scene as soon as possible and get help from the police. The ultraviolet (UV) dye in the pepper gel (an invisible and difficult to wash off chemical) will help police officers identify your potential assailant in the event he is apprehended.

As you may have already noticed, with this powerful technique you can achieve the same results that you would get using a TASER:

(1) You could keep a safe distance between yourself and the potential attacker and deter him from attacking;
(2) You could shoot from a safe distance in case the assailant decides to continue his attack, temporarily incapacitating him;
(3) You could still use a powerful stun device in case you miss your target or the assailant grabs you.

Of course, we still recommend that you get a TASER in the first place, especially since it’s easier to have an all-in-one tool to defend yourself in an already stressful situation. However, now you don’t have to wait until you can afford a TASER to adequately protect yourself and your loved ones from harm. Because crime doesn’t wait… and neither should you.
