7 Steps to Becoming a Network Marketing Professional by Eric Worre, Book Review

To truly believe that network marketing is better than a traditional job, you need to understand the state of the economy today. He makes his point about this reference to how new technologies have eliminated jobs from the market. Once highly valued in yesterday’s economy, jobs and a college education were the only clear path to success. But not anymore. Today, network marketing has come in another way.

More companies are taking the MLM approach to getting their product out when fifteen years ago the choice would have been to create a chain of storefronts. What corporations in the past spent on building stores, creating TV commercials, print ads now give to distributors. Eric emphasizes that not all jobs are coming back and one of the only forms of financial freedom for the average person is with network marketing.

Once this reality is understood, he goes on to label every network marketer into three categories. The first being a poser, then an amateur and a professional. He goes on to explain how many of those who consider themselves professionals are actually amateurs or even imposters. He explains this by the way they go about their recruiting efforts and waffling. Just like anything else, there is a right way and a wrong way to do things.

His point is that if you’re going to get into network marketing, you should decide to Go Pro, not just try and never put in the effort to hone your skills. Enthusiasm is important, but not knowing how to professionally approach, respond and close in a way that today’s society is more open to will ruin your business. The old recruiting methods are simply not effective anymore.

Eric continues to share his skills in effective prospecting in a way that makes people want to hear from you. The skills are finding prospects, inviting prospects to understand your product or opportunity, introducing your product or opportunity to your prospects, following up with your prospects, helping your prospects become customers or distributors, helping your new distributor get started well and promote events. He also describes his direct and indirect approach to getting the attention of ordinary people and then determining if they are fit to be a network marketer.

Although I barely scratched the surface on the details of this book. If you really want to stay in touch with today’s network marketing methods, then you need to read this book. I give this book a thumbs up and it is a must read for all entrepreneurs looking to brush up on their skills.
